Go Treasure Hunting in Philadelphia for $10K Prize

Philadelphia residents and visitors can hunt for $10,000 in prizes this week.

For the second consecutive year, coin dealer Stack’s Bowers has organized this citywide hunt , continuing now through Saturday, Oct. 17.

According to an NBC10 Philadelphia report , the clues will take treasure hunters to special certificates hidden throughout Philadelphia. Anyone who finds a certificate can claim a prize, including a combined $10,000 worth of prizes.

Participants can join the treasure hunt by following Stack’s Bowers on Instagram . There, Stack’s Bowers will share a new video clue each night at 5:30 p.m.

According to a PhillyVoice report , the first person to find a certificate must take a photo with it, scan the QR code, and send the image to the organizers. Participants can redeem the certificate for the prize at Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ Philadelphia store at 1735 Market St. in Center City.

NBC10 reported that this week’s treasure hunt includes a collaboration with the operator of the Instagram account Find the Cash PHL , which has close to 200,000 followers. The account’s creator has been hiding money around Philadelphia for months.

Philadelphia is the second stop in Stack’s Bowers Galleries’ Treasure Hunt 2026. The promotion began in Miami and will continue in San Francisco and Boston later this month. Participants will compete for $40,000 in prizes distributed across the four cities, according to the PhillyVoice.
