The new Regional Rail schedules feature more consistent pairings between lines on
different portions of the network. SEPTA officials said the schedule changes aim to boost transportation reliability.
Inbound trains will run five minutes earlier to William H. Gray III 30th Street Station to mitigate possible delays from Amtrak work that will impact the Paoli/Thorndale Line until Nov. 21. According to NBC10, Paoli/Thorndale train 5300, the current 4:29 a.m. train from Malvern, now operates as 9500, leaving 20 minutes later.
As more train cars become available, SEPTA plans to operate longer trains, offering more space for riders, according to a Metro Philadelphia report .
Regional Rail passengers can view the complete schedule on the SEPTA website .
SEPTA officials said the transit agency revises its Regional Rail schedules four times a year to improve reliability and account for capital projects and infrastructure improvements, according to Metro Philadelphia.
Parking Rate Adjustments
In addition to the Regional Rail schedule changes, SEPTA is also adjusting the daily parking rate at all SEPTA parking garages. Garages include the Frankford Transit Center, Lansdale Station, and Norristown Transit Center. Rates have been reduced from $4 to $2 through Dec. 31.
