City of Lake Charles announces Halloween activities

The city of Lake Charles is announcing Halloween activities for the month of October 2026.

On Sunday, Oct. 18, bring your lawn chair or blanket out to Nellie Lutcher Memorial Park (702 Enterprise Blvd.) from 5-7 p.m. for Music in the Park.

Take a tour of The Great Pumpkin Trail at Tuten Park (3801 Nelson Rd.) from 9 a.m.-7 p.m. daily Friday, Oct. 23, through Sunday, Oct. 25. Be sure to bring your camera to snap photos along the way!

Back by popular demand, the City of Lake Charles’ will once again host the Ghost Port: Haunted House experience from 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31, at Goosport Park (1619 Cessford St.).

The city will observe Halloween Trick-or-Treating on Saturday, Oct. 31, and recommends that trick-or-treat activities end at 8 p.m. that evening. Parents are encouraged to have their children home by 8:30 p.m. unless they are attending a supervised function sponsored by other parents or civic organizations.
