Bruno Mars opens five-night run at BC Place

Bruno Mars opened a five-night run at BC Place in Vancouver on Oct. 14, 2026, the first of five shows at the stadium on The Romantic Tour, according to Billboard Canada .
Billboard Canada reported that the run is a record for the most shows by one artist on a single tour at the stadium, and that more than 50,000 fans attended opening night. The previous record belonged to Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour, which played three nights in Vancouver, the outlet said in an earlier report . We could not find the stadium’s own confirmation of the record or the attendance figure, so both rest on Billboard Canada.
The remaining shows are Friday, Oct. 16, Saturday, Oct. 17, Tuesday, Oct. 20, and Wednesday, Oct. 21. The run grew from three dates. Daily Hive reported on Jan. 15 that BC Place had scheduled Oct. 14, 16 and 17 after “incredible demand” led to the second and third dates. BC Place’s own listing shows the Oct. 21 show starting at 7:30 p.m. PT, with gates opening at 5 p.m.
Vancouver is one of only two Canadian stops. Billboard Canada reported that Mars also played five nights at Rogers Stadium in Toronto, the most for any artist at that venue on a single tour. Anderson .Paak, performing as DJ Pee .Wee, and Raye were named as openers by Daily Hive.
The show ran roughly two hours and included most of Mars’s seven Canadian No. 1 songs, among them “Locked Out of Heaven,” “Die with a Smile” and “I Just Might,” Billboard Canada said. “I Just Might” is his most recent Canadian chart-topper. It reached No. 1 the same week his album The Romantic debuted atop the Billboard Canadian Albums chart.
Billboard Canada also described a local touch in the set: Vancouver comedian and TikTok personality Leenda Dong appeared during Pee .Wee’s DJ set wearing a prosthetic pregnant belly, a gag the outlet said played on the stadium’s “Angel Baby Cam” segment.
The outlet said the city has been dressed for the run. Mars recorded SkyTrain announcements for the Stadium-Chinatown station, and a Hello Kitty merchandise pop-up at 820 Granville St. is scheduled for Oct. 16 and 17.
Billboard Canada’s report gives the opening-night date as Oct. 14 in the body and Oct. 15 in the subhead. The Oct. 14 date matches the schedule published by Daily Hive and BC Place.
Stadium and arena demand has been strong across Canadian music this fall. Backstreet Boys added a ninth Rogers Centre show for 2027 , and Def Leppard added five Canadian arena dates to their tour.
