Manitoba issues 340 invitations in latest MPNP draw

Manitoba issued 340 letters of advice to apply on Oct. 8 in Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP) Expression of Interest draw 281, all under the Skilled Worker in Manitoba stream, according to published draw results.
The province publishes its draw results on the Immigrate Manitoba website . Canada News Media could not load that page directly during reporting, and the figures here are drawn from two immigration news outlets that reported the results, Immigration.ca and ImmigCanada .
Of the 340 letters, 257 went to candidates selected for specific occupations. Immigration.ca reported that 211 of those were for education and childcare occupations and 46 were for health occupations. A further 83 letters were issued under the stream’s strategic recruitment pathways.
The strategic recruitment letters included 45 through Employer Services, 16 through the Francophone Community pathway, 12 through Regional Communities, nine through Ethnocultural Communities and one under a temporary public policy for prospective provincial nominee candidates.
Both outlets reported that 103 of the invitations went to candidates who declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code. Neither reported minimum ranking scores for the draw.
A letter of advice to apply is an invitation to submit a full application to the province. It is not a nomination and does not guarantee permanent residence. Nominated candidates must still apply to Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) for permanent residence, and IRCC makes the final decision.
Candidates in the Manitoba pool should check the province’s official page for the status of their profile and for deadlines on responding to a letter. Anyone unsure how a program applies to their situation should consult IRCC or a licensed immigration consultant or lawyer.
