Flair announces Edmonton–Saint John
New route connects YEG and YSJ directly for the first time
EDMONTON, AB, October 15, 2026 – Flair Airlines is making Canadian aviation history once again, announcing the first-ever nonstop commercial air service between Edmonton International Airport (YEG) and Saint John Airport (YSJ). Launching June 15, 2027, the new route will provide the first direct air connection between Edmonton and Saint John, opening new travel opportunities between Western Canada and southern New Brunswick.
Taking off just in time for summer travel, the new route will operate twice weekly and will connect two distinct Canadian cities directly for the first time, giving travellers in Alberta and New Brunswick more affordable opportunities to explore the country, visit loved ones and travel for business.
Saint John is one of Edmonton’s largest Atlantic Canadian air travel markets, with most passengers currently connecting through Toronto. Flair’s new service will eliminate that connection, making travel between the two cities easier and opening new opportunities for tourism and business in both directions.
“Canada has so much to discover, and we want more Canadians to have the opportunity to experience it,” said Len Corrado, CEO of Flair Airlines. “We’re proud to be the first airline to connect Edmonton and Saint John nonstop, bringing two great Canadian cities closer together. Whether it’s visiting family, exploring somewhere new or making an important business connection, we’re giving Canadians more opportunities to spend time in the places and with the people who matter most.”
For travellers from Edmonton, Saint John offers a gateway to the Bay of Fundy, historic coastal communities and the natural beauty of southern New Brunswick. Travellers from Saint John can discover Edmonton’s festivals, expansive river valley and easy access to the Canadian Rockies.
“This is an exciting milestone for Saint John and our region,” said Court Edeburn, President and CEO of Saint John Airport. “Direct access to Edmonton opens new opportunities for tourism, business and families travelling between Atlantic and Western Canada. We’re delighted to welcome Flair and look forward to seeing the benefits this new connection brings to our communities.”
“Improved air access to and from Saint John will help grow our visitor economy, strengthen business ties across Canada, and create new opportunities for local employers and entrepreneurs. Better connectivity makes our region more competitive, more accessible, and better positioned for future growth,” said The Honourable Wayne Long, Secretary of State (Canada Revenue Agency and Financial Institutions) and Member of Parliament for Saint John—Kennebecasis.
The new Edmonton–Saint John service will operate twice weekly, with introductory one-way fares starting at $199 CAD for a limited time in both directions (YEG–YSJ and YSJ–YEG). Flights will be available to book at flyflair.com beginning October 15, 2026.
