Students Cry As Catholic Priest Principal Father Is Transferred (Video)

Students of a secondary school in South-East Nigeria have been seen crying uncontrollably as they bid farewell to their principal, Father Chiaka Uzoigwe, following his transfer.

In a video circulating on social media, students dressed in blue and white uniforms are seen gathering around the Catholic priest, holding on to him and struggling to contain their emotions as he prepares to leave the school.

Some of the students clung to his arms, while others buried their faces in his white cassock, crying as they walked alongside him.

Father Uzoigwe appeared emotional as the students surrounded him, with some seemingly reluctant to let him go.

One moment in the video shows a female student holding tightly to his arm as tears roll down her face. Others followed closely behind the priest, wiping their eyes as they came to terms with his departure.

Text displayed on the video reads, “Students reactions when their principal was leaving,” alongside another message, “Goodbye Father Chiaka Uzoigwe.”

The emotional farewell has drawn reactions online, with many viewers touched by the students’ display of affection for their principal.

For many who watched the footage, the students’ tears reflected the bond they had formed with the priest during his time at the school.

Although the specific school and the reason for his transfer were not immediately established, the video has offered a glimpse into how difficult it can be for students to say goodbye to a teacher or school leader who has made a lasting impression on them.
