Messrs. Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah, and Kwame Anthony named official spokespersons for the NDC
The ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) has officially designated the party’s Deputy National Communications Officer, Mr. Godwin Ako Gunn, the current Communications Director, Lawyer Kakra Essamuah, and Julius Kwame Anthony as its official spokespersons and primary contact persons for all media enquiries.
The strategic announcement was made in a press release signed by the party’s General Secretary, Mr. Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, following a high-level meeting of the NDC’s Functional Executive Committee (FEC).
According to leadership, the decision takes immediate effect, which it said marks a deliberate effort to strengthen the party’s communications machinery, elevate public engagement, and streamline the dissemination of policies, programmes, and achievements of the NDC.
The designation of the three spokespersons coincides with the immediate appointment of Julius Kwame Anthony as a Deputy Communications Director for the NDC.
Mr. Anthony, a respected and articulate advocate, steps into the key operational role to fortify the party’s message across regional and national media spaces.
By positioning Mr. Ako Gunn, Lawyer Essamuah, and Mr. Anthony at the forefront, the FEC aims to present a unified, professional, and robust front.
The party expressed absolute confidence that the team will bring exceptional dedication, precision, and responsibility to the national spotlight.
In the official statement, General Secretary Mr. Fifi Kwetey urged all media houses, stakeholders, and the general public to take immediate note of the new structure.
“The general public and the media are hereby informed that Messrs. Godwin Ako Gunn, Kakra Essamuah, and Julius Kwame Anthony are the voices of the NDC and the contact persons to reach out to for any matters regarding the Party,” the statement read.
With the communications bureau fully locked in under this refined leadership structure, the NDC expects a highly active, factual, and responsive media campaign moving forward.
Media organizations across the country have been directed to accord the named spokespersons the necessary recognition and cooperation in the discharge of their official duties.
