Atiku Launches New Platform To Answer Nigerians’ Questions

African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has launched a new citizen-engagement platform designed to enable Nigerians to ask him direct questions about his political record, policy agenda and plans for the country.

According to reports monitored by Ireporter Online, the platform, named Ask AA , was announced on Thursday by Phrank Shaibu, the ADC Director of Strategic Communication. The initiative was scheduled to go live at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday, offering Nigerians free access to submit questions and share their views.

The platform is expected to accommodate questions on major national issues, including the economy, security, technology, employment and Atiku’s proposed policies for addressing the country’s challenges.

The former vice president said he would personally respond to questions submitted through the portal, with members of his media team also assisting in providing answers.

According to Shaibu, the initiative is intended to reduce the communication gap between political leaders and citizens by providing a direct channel through which Nigerians can obtain information about Atiku’s positions and proposals.

He explained that the technology-driven platform reflects the candidate’s interest in using modern solutions to promote transparency, accountability and more effective governance.

Announcing the initiative on his social media accounts, Atiku described leadership as a two-way conversation and said the platform was created to make engagement between leaders and citizens more accessible.

He noted that Nigerians would be able to question his economic record, examine his policy proposals on security, technology and job creation, and offer suggestions on how to improve the country.

Atiku also said the platform would not be limited to online engagement. Plans are underway to extend access through radio to reach communities where internet connectivity may be limited.

In addition, the ADC presidential candidate disclosed that he intends to personally telephone selected participants who provide their contact details through the portal. He said the calls would enable him to hear directly from citizens about their experiences, concerns and the challenges affecting their daily lives.

The launch of Ask AA introduces another channel for Atiku to engage with Nigerians as political activities ahead of the 2027 general election continue to develop. The platform’s effectiveness will depend on public participation and how consistently questions and concerns are addressed.
