Andile Mpisane Breaks Silence on Child Support Claims

South African businessman Andile Mpisane has released a statement addressing claims about his responsibilities as a father following comments made by his ex-girlfriend, Sithelo Shozi, about child support.

The discussion began after Sithelo commented on a TikTok video about a mother’s struggle to receive financial support for her children. The media personality wrote, “…6 years and counting,” sparking conversations online.

Sithelo, who shares two daughters with Andile, later explained that she loves raising her children and described motherhood as her “ministry”.

Following the online discussion, Andile issued a statement defending his role as a father and addressing the claims.

“I believe it is important to set the record straight: my responsibilities and commitment as a father should not be judged on the basis of speculation, assumptions or one-sided narratives. I have continued to contribute towards my children’s education, including paying their school fees, and I remain committed to their well-being and future.”

Andile also revealed that his access to his children has been limited and that he has only recently had the opportunity to reconnect with them.

He explained that he had chosen to keep the family matter private to protect his children from public disputes. However, he stressed that his silence should not be mistaken for a lack of love or responsibility.

“My focus remains firmly on rebuilding and maintaining a meaningful relationship with my children, supporting their education, and ensuring their emotional, physical and overall well-being remain a priority.”

Andile concluded by maintaining that his commitment as a father should be judged by his actions rather than speculation.

The businessman has four children. He shares two daughters, Flo and Coco, with Sithelo, while he has two children, Miaandy and Messiah Shauwn Junior, with his wife, Tamia Mpisane.
