Man Convicted of Murder as Former Accomplice Testifies Against Him

NASSAU, BAHAMAS -A Supreme Court jury unanimously convicted a man of murder, after his former accomplice testified against him and walked away scot-free.
Monteze Rolle, also known as G Money, is now behind bars awaiting sentencing for the March 27th, 2021 murder of Charles Williams at Gibbs Corner.
His former co-accused, Zencil Rolle, was the prosecution’s key witness.
The admitted getaway driver identified Monteze Rolle as the gunman, but acknowledged that he initially lied to police, naming Shaquille Bodie as the shooter because he believed investigators would let him go.
However, Bodie’s ankle monitor confirmed he was nowhere near the murder scene.
When questioned again, Zencil Rolle changed his story and identified Monteze Rolle as the gunman.
Defence attorneys argued that the witness’ previous made his testimony unreliable.
But that argument failed to sway the jury, with all nine jurors returning a guilty verdict.
