MBABANE — Hardrock Football Club’s debut season in the Zimbabwean Castle Lager Premier Soccer League received a major boost after securing a community partnership deal.

The Zimbabwean outfit features Eswatini players Sambulo ‘Masoso’ Simelane, Neliswa ‘Tiger’ Dlamini, Thubelihle Mavuso and midfield maestro Yekisizwe ‘Madumane’ Khumalo.

According to Zimbabwean publication The Chronicle, the partnership with Beulabet, a betting and gaming company operating in Zimbabwe, was announced at Chahwanda on Saturday. Kelvin Kaindu’s side extended their winning run to seven games with a 2-0 victory over Bulawayo Chiefs.

The publication reported that both parties stated further details regarding benefits will be revealed in due course.

Company Founder and Director Unesu Bingudza said the decision to partner with Hardrock was inspired by the energy, determination, and class of the Kwekwe-based club.

“We are very excited about the partnership with Hardrock Football Club. As everyone can see, Hardrock is a team full of energy. They are going places, and this partnership means a great deal to us,” Bingudza was quoted as saying by The Chronicle.

“We operate in Zimbabwe. Currently, most of our presence is in Bulawayo, but soon we will be opening more branches throughout the country as we continue to grow. We expect to continue to grow it step by step, from glory to glory.”

The publication reported that Bingudza added that the agreement goes beyond football sponsorship, forming part of the company’s wider vision to give back to local communities.

“We see this partnership as a way of returning some of our proceeds back into the community to grow sports in Kwekwe, the Midlands, and eventually across Zimbabwe,” he stated.

The Chronicle reported that Bingudza also paid tribute to the Kwekwe community for their warm reception at Chahwanda Stadium, while encouraging customers to gamble responsibly, noting that gaming is purely for entertainment and not a means to an end.
