Former MP for Savelugu reported dead

The death of the former Member of Parliament(MP) for Savelugu, Hon. Mohamed Abdul Samed Gunu, fondly called Somed Gunu, has been reported.

Family sources disclosed to MyNewsGh.com that he died earlier today, 15th October 2026, at Korle Bu Teaching Hospital, Accra.

He was 57. Tributes have been pouring in since news of his demise, with family making arrangements for his burial in accordance with Islamic custom.

The Former NPP MP for Savelugu Constituency served in parliament between 2017 and 2020.
