Mncube to continue testimony in the Meyiwa murder trial
Accused number three in the late Bafana Bafana Captain Senzo Meyiwa’s murder trial, Mthobisi Mncube, is expected to continue with his testimony at the High Court in Pretoria on Friday morning.
Mncube has asked the court to play the recording of proceedings from the Boksburg Magistrates’ Court before the matter was transferred to the High Court for trial.
He maintains that the transcripts before the court are lies.
Mncube and four others are on trial for Meyiwa’s murder in 2014.
State Prosecutor Ronnie Sibanda confirmed that the recording is available and said it would be played at a later stage of the trial.
Judge Ratha Mokgoatlheng asked, “So, it is available?”
Sibanda responded, “It is available, my lord, yes.”
Mncube requested, “If it is available, I am requesting that it be played.”
