The Zimbabwe Council of Churches (ZCC) will next week launch its new Climate Change Ecumenical Response Strategy for 2026 to 2030, as churches intensify their role in environmental protection and climate justice.

Anchored on the scripture "The earth is the Lord's, and everything in it" - Psalm 24:1, the strategy signals a fresh push for faith-based action on the climate crisis in Zimbabwe.

The ZCC said the five-year plan will focus on mobilizing the Church and its partners to build climate resilience, champion justice for affected communities, and promote sustainable livelihoods, in line with the Christian duty to care for creation.

The launch is scheduled for 19 October 2026 at 09:00 AM and will be held virtually.
